Samsung has teamed up with China Telecom to unveil an Android-powered dual-screen flip phone,SCH-W999, successor to the W899. Featuring two 3.5 inch super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, the phone packs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s Touch Wiz UI. The phone is powered by 1.2GHZ dual-core Qualcomm processor with a MSM8660 chipset.
The dual-SIM phone comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera and dual connectivity modes (GSM and CDMA2000).Other features include Bluetooth 3.0,Wi-Fi and WAPI(WLAN Authentication and Privacy Infrastructure).Though no information on the pricing of SCH-W999 is available , the point to noted that its predecessor waspriced at a staggering $1400.
