Nokia First Real Windows Phones – LUMIA: Announced

The big mobile manufacture company NOKIA recently (26th Oct) has announced his first real Windows operating Smartphone mobiles NOKIA LUMIA. Nokia released two models in Lumia series like Lumia 710 and Lumia 800.

Nokia Lumia uses Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform. Nokia’s Stephen Elop said that the company has high hopes with the launch of the two new devices.

Nokia’s Lumia will be the best Smartphone’s in Europe when they arrive next month. The company is also focusing to grow the sales ratio of much cheaper devices in South America, Africa and China.

Nokia Lumia has brilliant navigation tools. So how do these new Smartphone’s stand in this ever-growing Smartphone battle? Let’s have a look.

The Lumia 710 has 3.7-inch Screen mobile device with 480-by-800 pixels, TFT capacitive touch screen.

The Lumia 710 has a dimension of 119 x 62.4 x 12.5 mm, and weighs approximately 125.5 grams. Nokia has also introduced its prominent Nokia Clear Black display.

Lumia 710 has a primary 5 MP, 2592-by-1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash rear camera with recording of video is 720p at 30fps (frames per second).

The Smartphone Lumia will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system, may lose out on the fact that it has no external card slot, Lumia 710 provides 8 GB of internal storage with 512 MB of RAM which is quite less compared to what the other Smartphone’s are offering today. Powering the device will be a 1.4 GHz processor, Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset, 3D Graphics HW Accelerator.

The 710 has WLAN capabilities of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and will arrive with a Li-Ion 1300 mAh standard battery.  The battery will provide stand-by in 3G up to 400 hours and talk time up to 7 hours 40 min, additional 38 hours of music play is also available.

Nokia Lumia 800 also a 3.7-inch device with 480-by-800 pixels, AMOLED capacitive touch screen. Lumia 800 has a dimension of 116.5 x 61.2 x 12.1 mm and Lumia 800 weight is around 142 grams.

The Smartphone Lumia will run on Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system; will be powered by a 1.4 GHz processor, Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset, 3D Graphics HW Accelerator.

The Nokia Lumia 800 has a primary 8 MP, 3264-by-2448 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash rear camera with video recording at 720p. No secondary camera is available.

The Lumia 800 also has no external memory card slot but internal memory is up to 16 GB with 512 MB of RAM. The battery specs are similar to that of 710, and neither 710 nor 800 have NFC capabilities.

It seems pretty similar to what you’ll find in the Nokia N9, The Lumia it’s simply a shooter that works for “ordinary people, under ordinary circumstances.”You’ll also find quad-band GSM support, with HSDPA download speeds of up to 14.4Mbps.

Lumia is scheduled to roll out across France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK, beginning in November. It’ll make its way to Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan before the end of the year.

Nokia is expecting towards a market that comprises mostly of consumers who want a basic Smartphone for daily use.

The Lumia 800 is priced at 420 Euros, or about $585. It’s already up for pre-order now.
