MOTOROLA DROid 3 Review

Motorola recently launched their Android version smart phone mobile with full QWERTY keypad. This mobile runs on 2G as well as 3G. The Droid3 works with latest version of Android 2.3(Gingerbread) OS with 1GHz dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP processor that makes the phone feel speedy when browsing through menus or scrolling through the home screens. Games ran smoothly, and the phone was quite responsive when tapping around the screen, 4 inch large TFT (16 million of colors) screen 960 x 540 pixel resolution qHD displays.

The device supports dual SIM; one is GSM and another CDMA. You can use you GSM in 2G network 850/900/1800/1900, 3G HSDPA 850/1900/2100. You can use CDMA with 2G network 800/ 1900, 3G network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO.

The Droid 3 features an additional number row in its full QWERTY keyboard. I found it easy to pound out longer text and email messages, though the keyboard can feel a little clicky at times. Regardless, it is a vast improvement over the keyboards on the Droid and Droid 2.

The Droid 3 has a 4-inch qHD (540-by-960-pixel) display, images and text did not look any better than they did on the original Droid. Icons are not particularly sharp, and you can easily see a grid of dots on the screen.

The Droid 3 has 64.1 x 123.3 x 12.9 mm with size; it is little bit of weight at 184 grams.

The Droid 3 has 8.0 mega pixel of camera to take good pictures and take good video with HD 1080 pixel quality with good 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and having LED flash, auto focus and face detection. There is a 1.3 mega pixel secondary camera also for video calling. The Droid 3 comes with an HDMI-out port so you can share your photos and videos with everyone on a larger HDTV

The Droid 3 front panel has three buttons like Back, menu, Home and search for contact. You get five home screens to play with, a handful of widgets, and a customizable dock with this version of MotoBlur, as well as the ability to sort apps in the app drawer by how frequently they are used.

The audio quality of the Droid 3 is very good to listen the music with earphones, FM Radio out put is also good with headphones. Audio plays with all major formats like AAC, H.263, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WAV, eAAC+, WMA v10, WMA v9, MIDI, AAC+. Video formats supports like 3GP, MP4, etc.

The Droid comes with Android HTML Webkit and Adobe Flash enjoying with good internet surfing experience.

you can set email with Google, POP3/IMAP, Push Mail and Yahoo. It has preloaded instant messenger like GTalk, AIM, windows messenger and Yahoo messenger. you can also install application which you want from internet. The device has WiFi technology and Micro USB socket to connect PC with charging and sync data. The main advantage is to use internet with Wireless local area network (WLAN).

The Droid 3 has 1540mAh Li-ion battery, its supports Talk time up to 550 min and Stand by time up to 300 hrs.

The device has GPS and location services with Google, it has 3.5 mm headset jack to listen good music and you can connect with your audio system also.

Presently the device internal memory is 16 GB with 512 MB of RAM You can use external micro SD card of 32 GB.
