Apple is finally set to release the next generation Apple’s smartphone at Worldwide Conference (WWDC), to be held in June at Moscone Center, CA
According to the latest report published in Cydia Blog, the Moscone’s event calendar suggests that Apple has blocked an entire week starting from June 11 to June 15 for a “Corporate Event.” Speculations are rife that Apple will unveil the iPhone 5 anytime during that corporate event. Historically, Apple chose Thursdays or Fridays to release iPhones and June 15 falls on Friday this year, which fuels the speculations about the expected release of the iPhone 5.
The sources said that, the iPhone 5 will continue to utilize glass to glass (G/G) touch panel technology which will benefit current touch panel suppliers TPK Holding and Wintek, the paper quoted the securities house as saying.
According to various rumors, the iPhone 5 will sport 3.7 to 4.0 inches Quantum Dot LED curved glass edge-to-edge display with features like scratch-resistant glass, aluminum plate casing, oleophobic coating, accelerometer, and gyro and proximity sensor.
The fifth generation iPhone will integrate a fast 1.2-to-1.5 GHz quad-core A6 chip, with probably 1GB or more of RAM and the phone will run on Apple’s next OS, presumably will release at the WWDC and will be called iOS 6. iPhone 5 is expected to come with 16/32/64 GB with external microSD card support.
iPhone 5 will sport a 12 megapixel or more dual-LED flash camera with flash unit to be separated from the camera sensor.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 5 will have a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. The iPhone 5 is also expected to have a 3-D camera. The new phone will have 4G LTE support and NFC technology and will introduce inductive wireless charging technology for the device could juice up its battery without the use of cables or plugs.
The iPhone 5 is un-believable a better battery than the Li-Po 1420 mAh battery of the iPhone 4S that gives up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 14 hours on 2G (GSM).
